El Tapatio Mexican Cuisine was
established over 10 years ago, and is now owned and
operated by Lazaro "Antonio" Chavez on Route 211 in
Middletown, NY. Antonio and his family immigrated to
the U.S. from Mexico in 1993, and settled in New
Jersey. He began work as a dishwasher in a local New
Jersey Italian restaurant, and after eight months he
was promoted to busboy. After eight years of hard work
and dedication, Antonio was promoted to manager and
held this position for 5 years. Antonio had learned so
much about the restaurant business that he decided he
wanted to open a restaurant of his own. After thirteen
years of working in the restaurant business, a family
member had told him that El Tapatio Mexican Cuisine
was being sold, and he quickly seized this opportunity
to become the new owner in 2008. Since then, Antonio
has enjoyed great success owning this family run
establishment. Stop in today for Lunch or
